November 16-19, 2019

The Bryn Mawr College Graduate Group Symposium is a biennial event sponsored by Bryn Mawr’s Graduate Group in Archaeology, Classics, and History of Art. This weekend-long symposium is organized and lead entirely by graduate students with the goal of facilitating interdisciplinary scholarship between graduate students in Archaeology, Classics, History of Art and all related fields.

The event features two days of graduate student presentations, a student curated exhibition, and a commissioned performance by a local artist. Each component revolves around a theme chosen by a committee of graduate students in the graduate group. The 2019 theme was “Irresistible Night, Ageless Dark” and featured keynote speakers Professor Noam Elcott of Columbia University and Radcliffe Edmonds III of Bryn Mawr.
